For as long as she can remember Jodie Rigby has been creating art. For Jodie her art is her place to relax, refocus or express the journey of life and obscure details.
Jodie has completed a bachelor of visual arts majoring in printmaking, with a minor in painting. She now combines these skills creating mixed media art works on paper, drafting film and canvas. Drawing, painting and printmaking, all have led her to becoming a mixed media artist, who experiments with a variety of techniques in one art work.
Jodie uses layers of collage, paint, pen and pencil to generate portraits, up close examination of subjects, fluctuating from women to trees, rocks, flowers, landscapes and most recently animals. Works are wide-ranging, all with many layers whether they are abstract and whimsical through mixed media or realistic using colour pencil.
