Angela has been creating art since childhood. Her mother being a touch- up artist in a professional photographic studio and grandmother being a commercial artist in the 1920’s and 30’s has been the guiding force behind her artistic endeavour.
Her inspiration to advance and develop her work came about through the desire to explore the immediacy and vibrancy of acrylics, a medium that dries quickly to align with and satisfy her quick pace of life and desire for success.
Artist Statement
Born in the country and blessed to witness hands-on – life’s births and deaths, surrounded by big skies, country characters and the depths of all sorrows and the height of all faith, I have developed an urge to create my own..
Learning and studying the anatomy and characteristics of each encourages my direction to learn more and extend my growth in understanding structure in any form or design in human, animal, or building.
Adding the brilliance of colour and tone will never exhaust my desire to strive completing the final piece. I love to get paint on paper. I love to make big mistakes and fix them. I love to exhibit and show.
