Angie Hart

Angela Hart is an artist from Nobby where her passion for art began at a young age. After raising her family, Angela returned to her creative roots, immersing herself in workshops, studying the masters, and earning a Certificate III in Visual Art.

Her work is inspired by the beauty of animals, humans, and the landscapes around her. She has been successful with her art sales, competitions and workshops and was a finalist in the Australian Artist Awards 2024.
Angela’s day-to-day life is centered on pursuing her artistic vision.

Artist Statement

I work mainly in bold acrylic paint and draw my inspiration from animals, people, and the rural landscape around me. Horses feature strongly in my work, and I’m drawn to their movement, strength, and quiet presence. Rather than focusing on fine detail, I aim to capture character and feeling through loose, expressive marks.
My painting process is intuitive and hands-on. I enjoy experimenting, making mistakes, and letting each piece develop naturally. This way of working reflects my everyday life and connection to animals and place.

In 2026, I’ll be exploring charcoal in greater depth, focusing on tonal range and the many shades of grey. This work will support and strengthen my acrylic painting practice, helping me develop form and movement across both mediums
